We may store Personal Data that you choose to send to us or provide to us, for example when using the “Contact” and “Newsletter” forms on our project’s website (www.microprod.eu), or when you register to participate in our events.
If you contact us through the “Contact” form on our website, we may keep a record of our correspondence.
Information you provide to us when you use our services
We receive and store only the data you provide directly to us. The types of data we may collect directly from you include: names, email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, affiliated organisation, country, as well as any other data you may have provided.
Information we automatically collect
A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your computer or other device to allow a platform to recognise you as a user when you return using the same device and web browser, either for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeated visits (a ‘persistent cookie’). When you visit www.microprod.eu, we collect certain data related to your device, such as your device’s IP address, referring website, what pages your device visited, and the time that your device visited our website.
How do we use the data?
We use the data we collect:
- to administer our website, our events and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, statistical and survey purposes;
- to improve our website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
- as part of our efforts to keep our website safe and secure.
We may use the data you send to us via our website and/or services, to communicate with you via email and, possibly, other means, regarding events, publications, blogs and newsletters we think may be of interest to you. However, you will always be able to opt-out of such communications at any time (see the “Your Privacy Rights” section below).
Do we share and disclose data to third parties?
We may share your Personal Data with MICROPROD’s beneficiaries for the good conduct of the project activities, for example to invite you to the project events.
We do not sell your Personal Data to anyone nor do we share it with any other organisation than the MICROPROD beneficiaries.
However, there may be circumstances under which we may have to share your information:
- Protection of MICROPROD’s beneficiaries and Others: we reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any data as necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply our agreements with you and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of MICROPROD’s beneficiaries, their employees, our users, or others.
- Disclosures for National Security or Law Enforcement: under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data in response to valid requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Is Personal Data about you secure?
We use appropriate technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect any information we hold in our records from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Unfortunately, no company or service can guarantee complete security, unauthorised entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user data at any time.
What will happen to your personal data when no longer needed for MICROPROD?
We will store your personal data only as long as they are needed for the MICROPROD project purposes. We will delete them when the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. In any case, all personal data will be deleted by 31st December 2024, i.e. two years after the end of the project.
Is your personal data transferred to third countries in the course of data processing?
We do not transfer your personal data (except for the newsletter distribution – see below) to countries or international organisations outside the European Union and outside the territorial scope of the GDPR.
Your Privacy Rights
What choices do you have?
You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind some data may be needed to register with us or to take advantage of some of our services.
You can file a complaint with your Data Protection Authority (DPA) if you believe that your data protection rights have been breached. You can identify your DPA at www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.
You can opt-out of receiving communications from us at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in the emails communications we send, or by contacting us at email@example.com.
How can you access and update your information?
We provide individuals with the opportunity to access, review, update, and delete any Personal Data we hold on them. You can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for this purpose. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so. Please note that we may be required to retain and use your information if necessary to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16. If you are under 16, please do not attempt to register or send any Personal Data about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a child under age 16, we will delete that data.

Declaration of privacy regarding MICROPROD’s newsletters
MICROPROD is committed to privacy and to complying with the current privacy regulations for the sending of our newsletters.
Personal information processed in our service
The personal information being processed in this service is your e-mail address. Your personal information is stored until you withdraw your consent.
More about MailChimp
MICROPROD is working with the newsletter provider MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group) to store the data you provide us with and to send out newsletters. It is this company that stores your e-mail address. MailChimp is an American company and one of the largest providers of newsletter services in the world. Your personal information is therefore transferred to the United States of America.
MailChimp is renowned, committed to compliance with the GDPR and serious breaches of security involving the use of Mailchimp have not been reported.
From all the data you provide us, MailChimp only processes the e-mail addresses of those who subscribe to our newsletter, and the purpose of the processing is to send you the newsletter.
We will not use your e-mail address for other e-mail lists.
If this becomes necessary, we will contact you to ask for your consent to add your e-mail address to a new list before doing so.
