MICROPROD’s 1st policy dialogue will take place on 4th December in Brussels, and will be hosted by Bruegel. This policy dialogue will bring academics, statisticians and institutional experts together with policy-makers and National Productivity Boards representatives, to discuss the following questions:

  • Do we measure productivity correctly?
  • Do we understand all the mechanisms at work, from intangible investments to integrating into global value chains?
  • What do these measurement issues and the current proposals to remedy them imply for future policies?

Panellists and participants will take stock of the current challenges in productivity measurement, discuss the preliminary findings of the project and reflect on future research and policy priorities.
